If not, it's your lucky day, I'm here to help you find it! Find Your Soul's Mission.
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a youth-led community event with a focus on finding love in violence. Now, that may sound weird. The love in violence? Yes, the word love can be found in violence. It was my idea to play up the word love because knowing what I know about metaphysics and the law of attraction - we get, what we focus on. So, if we want love, we have to focus on love and not violence. I was one of the panelists where we discussed the changes needed, and how we were going to get to a place of more love and less hate. We all agreed that the change starts within, and with people learning to love themselves.
I talked about conscious leadership, and how it was going to take us, redefining what it means to be leaders. I am under the belief that everyone is a leader, not just a person with a leadership title or elected official, but we all are leaders and therefore we are all responsible.
We elect people and promote them into positions of leadership so we can put the responsibility off on them to do what we know needs to be done. You don't need a title or position to be a leader, you are already one. You just have to decide if you're going to be a conscious leader or a complacent one.
A conscious leader is someone who has a great deal of self-awareness, knows themselves and is clear on their soul's mission. They recognize when their ego is surfacing and is disciplined enough to balance it by prioritizing what is most important - what you came on this Earth to do.
A complacent leader is someone who feels they're doing all they can, and have little interest in challenging themselves to grow. They've gotten comfortable with the salary, they bask in the recognition granted to them by title and they have replaced their the hunger of increasing their knowledge of self with college degrees.
Titled leaders are less likely to get much done because most of us as humans aren't self-aware or disciplined enough to recognize when our egos start creeping in. Because we make it to a certain level in our careers or make a certain amount of money, or obtain a certain number of degrees we get complacent - like we've arrived. Conscious leaders don't need titles and prefer not to have them. They prefer to be recognized by their soul's mission.
Some months ago, I began rewriting my resume because I wanted to see what it would look like if I defined myself by my soul's mission and not by the titles humans have tried to give me. It was astonishing how good I felt about the results. This was the first time my resume really felt like me. The shift in perspective changed how I viewed myself and my soul's work. This ensures that I am doing a lifetime of work, not just a job or a career but what I really came here to do.
We put ourselves in so many boxes because of titles, labels, positions and degrees that we begin to suffer from soul amnesia - that is, we forget what we came here to do. There are five ways to help you remember and start your path to conscious leadership you need all five to create the larger picture:
1. North Node in Vedic Astrology - Vedic or Sidereal Astrology is the astrological chart used primarily in the Eastern world, and it is also the most accurate. In the Western world, we are familiar with Tropical Astrology. The difference is that Vedic astrology is determined by the actual movement of the planets, so even though you might be a Pisces right now, if someone was to check your astrological sign in 1,000 years from now, you may become an Aries. Tropical astrology is stationary, meaning a snapshot of the planets were taken and that is what we go by, so in 1,000 years you'd still be a Pisces although we know that planets absolutely move and evolve, just like us. You can use this chart to find your north node and what house it's in. You will need your birthdate, time of birth and birth location. If you don't know, contact your Department of Vital Statistics.
Your north node tells you what lessons you are here to take on in this life - this is indicated by the house your north node is in. The sign of your north node tell how you approach those life lessons. For example, my north node is in the 8th house which is the house of the occult, mysticism, birth, rebirth, sex, death and other people's money. My life has had a tone of occultism, which is metaphysics, since I could remember starting at the age of 5. I had a career in maternal and child health, sold Pure Romance in college, and was a grief recovery specialist for some time.
My north node has taken me through many experiences that has allowed me to explore the 8th house, even before I knew my north node resided there. My north node is in the sign of Aries, which represents the Emperor in Tarot, is the first sign of the zodiac and known to be
fiery and very passionate. This is also true about me when it comes to my souls mission - I have to be the first to do something, I am extremely passionate about my work and can get fiery. I tend to be the leader in my field, no matter what I do. It's just in me. Even when I have tried to stand back and not play the lead role, it never happens. My life path number of 6 (the leadership number) explains more clearly why that is.
2. Life Path Number - Our life path number gives us a general overview of how we approach this life. It can awaken us to how we show up for ourselves, our personal relationships and to our communities. Knowing your life path number can explain who you are at your core, your strengths, weaknesses, talents and what you are here to learn this lifetime. Find your life path number here.
3. Human Design and Corresponding Major Arcana Card - Human design is like your personal human blueprint. It is a mix between ancient sciences and modern sciences, according to Jovian Archive, that gives a logical system in discovering how you are specifically designed. There are 4 types of designs: Generators, Manifesting Generators,
Projectors and Reflectors. Understanding your design can give you a great deal of insight into how you show up, interact, think and look at things. It goes deeper into looking at your inner and outer authority - whether you receive your authority from your sacral chakra or another area, how to know when you're not in your self, your incarnation cross - the thing that defines our life purpose. To get your human design chart, go to My Body Graph and read about in your incarnation cross after you find it on your human design chart, go here.
The corresponding major arcana card can be found on the profile line. My Profile is Hermit, which corresponds with the Hermit in the Major Arcana Tarot cards, number 10, which reduces to a 1, which again corresponds for my need to be first as told with my north node being in Aries. It's all interconnected. My human design chart is what led me to Vedic Astrology, because that is what it is based on. I've been a tarot reader for over 15 years, so when I saw that my profile was the Hermit, I was confused. On the tropical zodiac, I am a Libra and that corresponds with the Justice card, number 13. This sent me down a spiral (I literally had an identity crisis) and led me to research Vedic astrology. To find your corresponding major arcana card and its meaning, go here, and scroll over the upright card.
4. Enneagram Personality - "The Enneagram is a condensation of universal wisdom, the perennial philosophy accumulated by Christians, Buddhist, Muslims (Sufis) and Jews (Kabbalah), according to Don Riso and Russ Hudson in their book, "The Wisdom of the Enneagram". According to Christine Breese, the Founder of the University of Metaphysical Sciences, the Enneagram "helps people to recognize and understand an overall pattern in human behavior."
There are 9 personality types: Reformer, Helper, Achiever, Individualist, Investigator, Loyalist, Enthusiast, Challenger and Peacemaker.
Jack C. High says knowledge and understanding of the Enneagram can enable a person to:
Identify unconscious patterns that trigger reactions and drive one’s life.
Observe the patterns internally.
Detach attention from the patterns.
Cope with issues and reduce suffering.
Improve personal, family and work relationships.
Become a happier, more effective person.
Discover latent talents and abilities which speak to one’s purpose.

5. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator - The Myers-Briggs Personality test is the tool most people are familiar with but it's only one small piece of the puzzle. There are 16 personal types that help you find out if you're an introvert or extravert, intuitive or sensing, feeling or thinking, and judging or perceiving.
We all fall into one of 4 broader categories: Analysts, Diplomats, Sentinels and Explorers. Carl Jung, a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and master metaphysician theorized the different kinds of psychological types. The Myers-Briggs test is an attempt to categorize people into personality types.
